The Visionary Leadership of Sajjad Farooq
In the early days of the business, Ghulam Rasool's son, Sajjad Farooq, a 17-year-old with big dreams, entered the family business. His passion for innovation and his drive to make New Friends Industries a leading brand in Pakistan's cutlery market propelled the company into a new era. Sajjad introduced advanced manufacturing techniques and redefined the standards for quality cutlery.
A Journey of Innovation and Growth
At the beginning of his journey, Sajjad focused on making high-quality cutlery in the local market, starting with low-gauge products in 16 and 14 gauges. His early success in these markets laid a strong foundation for the future. However, Sajjad's vision did not stop there. As his father’s health began to decline in the 1970s, Sajjad took full responsibility for the business and navigated the challenges with perseverance and dedication.
Sajjad's relentless pursuit of excellence led him to develop hotel-standard cutlery in thicker gauges, ranging from 11 gauge to 4 gauge. These premium-quality products quickly became highly sought after in the hospitality industry.
